How a job runs

Nothing about it is improvised.

Set up

Lift and work area set up first, before a saw runs. Everything that has to be protected gets protected.

Limbs first

Branches come off and go straight through the chipper. The area stays clear as we go rather than at the end.

Sections, not felling

The main stem comes down in sections. On a tight lot next to a house that is the difference between a removal and an incident.

Logs out

Logs cut and loaded out. If you want the wood kept, say so before we start and it stays.

Stump and debris

Stump ground if it is in the job, then all debris cleared off the ground.

Walk it with you

Final walk round with you before the equipment goes back on the trailer.

Straight answers

What people ask before they book.

What does it cost?

It depends on the type of tree, the size and the height, so every job is quoted on its own. Most jobs land between $750 and $4,500.

Do you cut the whole tree down at once?

No. We cut it down in sections.

How long does it take?

Two to six hours for most jobs, around four on average.

Do I need to move everything out?

No.

Are you insured?

Yes. Liability cover through Sutton Specialty Insurance, and registered as a Pennsylvania Home Improvement Contractor.

How soon can you start?

Next availability, and there are openings next week. Being able to get to it sooner is usually why people go with us.
